Nothing ever ends poetically. It ends and we turn it into poetry. All that blood was never once beautiful. It was just red.

Kait Rokowski

Hello and welcome.
My pen name is Varga [Var-yja], though some online friends might call me Sati. I’m located in Sweden and I speak Finnish (mom’s a finn), Swedish (which means that I by default understand Danish and Norwegian, hah) and English. I write about regional folklore that’s not otherwise easily accessible in English and share bits and pieces of my personal practice. I have a lot of thoughts, a lot of opinions, and a big chunk of passion. I’m also a writer on the side and hopefully a soon-to-be author.

A litte more about me:
I began spiraling into the occult a few years ago when Set first came into my life. He instantly turned my reality upside down, as he is so famously known for, and you can say that he spiritually raised me from scratch. Satsuti means “Daughter of Set” and I consider myself a setian in that way.
My regional work took some time to unravel; it is initiatory and a very crooked hidden road with many thorns surrounding it, there are times while it’s not particularly pleasant. I was tugged by the Other Crowd – a certain Veiled Lady and Man Dressed in Black – for nearly to two years before I decided to answer the call and put in the work. While it may be a lot of blood (literally), sweat and tears trying to revive a regional tradition that’s nearly gone, it’s also exciting and exhilarating at the same time. And They are with me every step of the way.
